A first-week hashrate checklist for new operators

Morning readings
Record pool-reported hashrate, board temperatures, and fan speeds each morning before changing settings. Sudden drops paired with rising temps often point to dust or a loose power connector rather than pool trouble.
Evening listening
Stand outside the shed for two minutes. New rattles or a higher pitch can mean a fan bearing failing early. Note the time and ambient weather so patterns are easier to spot later.
Alert thresholds
Set temperature alerts slightly below the manufacturer’s hard limit so you receive a warning while the machine can still be checked calmly. Disable duplicate alerts that train you to ignore notifications.
